General's Highway Athletic Association of Annapolis, Rolling Knolls and Crownsville exists to instill leadership and promote the concept of teamwork among our children while ensuring all players gain confidence, build skills, play equally and have fun.
Dear Coaches, Players, Parents and all other friends,
The 2010 Annapolis Open® Grant Turner Memorial Baseball Tournament promises to be especially exciting.We expect to have 140, very competitive teams covering age groups U9 through U14 covering the Middle Atlantic seaboard up through New York with teams coming from the many states.
The Annapolis Open starts on Friday, March 19 at 5:00PM and continues through early evening on Sunday, March 21.The Ceremonial opening is planned for 1PM at Generals Highway Field 2 on Saturday, March 20. Our guests of honor are former Governor Bob Ehrlich, Chief of Maryland Transportation Police Marcus Brown, and Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks Administrator Franklin Chaney.
During the afternoon of Saturday, March 20, we will have the Maryland Transportation Authority Command Center at Generals Highway Corridor Park. It will be open for tours.
Also on Saturday at Generals Highway Corridor Park we will have an Anne Arundel Medical Center Bloodmobile available for blood donations. We hope you may be available to donate blood as blood supplies continue to remain low.
We will also be visited by Louie, the Bowie Baysox mascot, during midday Saturday.
All of our venues have concession stands for your convenience.
Portable bathrooms with sanitation systems will be available at each venue site by Friday afternoon. These will be serviced during the event. If you notice a problem please do not hesitate to call me at (410) 349-6008.
